In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My father Keith Self is also a composer, and I grew up with him playing emotional and dramatic narrative music on the piano as my sisters and I danced around and created stories about what these instrumental songs meant.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kelis, Wanderland The Art of Noise, In Visible Silence Tracy + The Plastics, Culture for Pigeon Each of these records drastically expanded my understanding of how far you can bend the genre of pop without having it break. Fringe in very different ways; each album signifies a particular time in my life and discovery about who I am as an artist.
