About Cometfall
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Finding my parents' cassette of Bryan Adams' "Waking Up the Neighbours" and somehow managing to get it playing. I didn't understand it at allbut it sounded like the best thing in the world.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Faith No More, Angel Dust
Karnivool, Sound Awake
Porcupine Tree, Fear of a Blank Planet
Angel Dust pulled me away from metal toward more alternative sounds. Sound Awake: huge sound meets progressive groove. Fear of a Blank Planet got me knee-deep in Porcupine Tree after hearing Stupid Dream.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Buried Elsewhere”
Buried Elsewhere is built on a riff I wrote on bass around 2016. The title came from a graveyard in Finland, that has a memorial to those buried elsewhere. It’s a cosmic song about people who live on somewhere beyond our time.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
I played in different lineups for close to ten years, and most of the songs I wrote back then never got further than a demo. This year Cometfall's debut album came out, built from riffs and demos I first wrote more than a decade ago.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Taking Cometfall to real live stages. The songs were built in the studio, but they were always meant to be loud in a room full of people. Getting a band together and playing them live is the next big step.
