Artist Biography
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Hmmm. My mom got me a pawnshop guitar and I learned a lot of church songs at the time.
I learned that they ripped her off, and they shortly went out of business after that. So grateful my mom wanted me to pursue music. SO grateful for her. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Cage the Elephant, Thank You Happy Birthday
Houndmouth, Little Neon Limelight
Paramore, After Laughter
All three of my favorite albums found me at the times where I needed them most. Depressed? At Peace? Content? Each album has so many specific memories from those points in my life. I wouldn't look at like or music how I do today without them. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Who I Am for Now”
Lyrically and musically, I'm so proud of this song. It's so easy to only focus on your failures/regrets, but it's also good to acknowledge your growth. You're never supposed to be the same, even day by day.
This song helps me remember that. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Honestly the fact that people know any of our songs at all is mind-blowing. Getting to perform with Charles Wesley Godwin and Houndmouth have both been bucket list items though. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Red Rocks + the Ryman. Does it get any better or spiritual than those?
