Best-known as the guitarist of Motörhead for most of the pioneering NWOBHM band's career, Phil Campbell has been at the fore of the hard rock/heavy metal scene since the 1980s. After the death of Motörhead frontman Lemmy in 2015, Campbell formed Phil Campbell & the Bastard Sons with his sons Todd, Dane, and Tyla. Since debuting in 2016, the band has issued a string of albums like 2018's The Age of Absurdity, 2020's We're the Bastards, and 2023's Kings of the Asylum that are rooted in high-octane, no-frills thrash, hard rock, and metal. In 2019, Campbell released his first solo effort, the star-studded Old Lions Still Roar.
