About CruX
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I started clubbing at 16, and that’s when electronic music truly found me. I was fascinated by how a DJ could make a room dance, sing, scream, fall in love or cry. I’d spend the week finding the songs and reliving those nights.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Offer Nissim, Offer Nissim
Shakira, Shakira MTV Unplugged En Vivo
Tove Lo, Queen of the Clouds
My top 3 are Shakira’s MTV Unplugged for its live magic and Arabic-inspired “Ojos Así,” Tove Lo’s Queen of the Clouds for its full relationship arc, and Offer Nissim’s Second Time for shaping how I feel and produce electronic music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Me Muero [feat. Eduardo Togi] [Original Club Mix]”
“Me Muero” is special because it came from finally working with Eduardo Togi, someone I had wanted to collaborate with for a long time. That project strengthened a friendship that lasts to this day, and I still remember how fun the cover shoot was.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
My first shows outside my hometown, signing with a label for the first time, and releasing my first song on streaming are some of my most memorable milestones. They still motivate me to keep creating.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Absolutely. I want to keep writing songs in both Spanish and English, release a full album, and finally achieve a goal I’ve had since I was 16: creating the definitive remix of Shakira’s “Ojos Así.”
