About Currents
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
We started out as most bands do in Sweden, by rehearsing at the local youth center funded by the municipality. We thereby hade the opportunity to start learning to play music together for more or less no cost.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Jawbreaker, 24 Hour Revenge Therapy
Spiritualized, Ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space
Unwound, Leaves Turn Inside You
24 Hour Revenge Therapy got us into playing in a band. Leaves turn inside you and Ladies and gentelemen we are floating in space expanded our minds about what music and an album can give the listener!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“The Time of Rivers, Mountains, Oceans and the Earth”
The final song on our album First New Tomorrow, and the one where we most closely reach the target of creating rock music that fuses all our different music influences and heroes.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
That we even got to release a proper album, and that it turned out so well considering the little amount of time we were able to spend on recording and mixing it.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
The band stopped being active shortly after the album was released unfortunately, but we are planning on making a proper release of unreleased songs soon!
