Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The moment I fell in love with music was thanks to a video game; Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4. During the intro video for the game the song T.N.T by ACDC played. A shiver went up my spine, my eyes went wide, and my obsession with music began.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beck, The Information Frank Zappa, Hot Rats Jethro Tull, Songs from the Wood 2003 Bonus Track Edition More than anything, I'm attracted to music that you can't pin down. Music that defies genre identification and time periods. Music that seems to come from nowhere. Music that is timeless.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “By Torch Light” This song explores my favorite aesthetic; middle eastern style music. It features lovely melodies played on mandolin, fretless classical acoustic, and banjo.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Nothing compares to the moments that I've been lucky enough to engage in improvised jam sessions with talented players. It's one of the best feelings in the world.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As long as I can keep playing music, making albums, and connecting with musicians; I'll be a happy guy.
