About Daniel Pemberton
As a teenager, composer Daniel Pemberton purchased a keyboard and recording equipment with money he earned while writing for a video game magazine.
∙ When he was 16, he released an electronic music album, Bedroom, which led to his first TV documentary scoring gig: an episode of the British series Without Walls.
∙ He has scored movies directed by some of film’s biggest names, including Ridley Scott, Danny Boyle, Edward Norton, and Guy Ritchie.
∙ In 2010, Pemberton won the Ivor Novello Award (Best Television Soundtrack) for his score to the BBC Two drama Desperate Romantics.
∙ He has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, including twice in the Best Original Score - Motion Picture category.
∙ Under the name the Daniel Pemberton TV Orchestra, he has released several compilations featuring his original TV and video game music.
