About Darkoo
Though growing up with ambitions of soccer glory, it wasn't long before Darkoo realized her potential in the music world: After honing her vocal skills through her school years, the MC released her debut single, "Gas Station," at just 16. Centered around sultry stories and deep-bodied vocals, Darkoo merged Afroswing, Afrobeats, and U.K. rap into a swinging, catchy style; she soon found her breakout hit with the number 22-charting "Gangsta." After signing to Virgin EMI, she had a second hit with the 2020 Hardy Caprio collaboration "Juicy" (number 62), as well as landing a number one chart position as part of Tion Wayne and Russ Millions' "Body [Remix]." Her debut EP, 2 in 1, soon followed.
