Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time I ever heard music that moved me was when I was age 7. I was plying in the crawlspace of my parents house and the sound of Billy Joel's, It's Still Rock 'n' Roll To me started emanating from the living room upstairs. I was hooked!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Gray, A New Day at Midnight Jeff Lynne, Armchair Theatre Rufus Wainwright, Poses (Expanded Edition) David Gray and Rufus Wainwright both write beautiful melodic music I connect to personally. I think it's because they wrote about very personal experiences, and captured the music and arrangements in a very pure way. Jeff Lynne can do no wrong!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Full Circle” Full Circle is lyrically about figuring out what you believe in. I took a journey outside my beliefs for a time and ended up coming back to where I started - hence the name. The song was the first time I wrote for live cello and violin. Very proud!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most exciting times was hearing my music on the radio for the first time. My song, Home, did very well with radio audiences in the US and Europe. It also got named single of the year on a couple of different radio stations. So cool!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I jwant to keep writing music that excites me. Recording new instruments always gets my blood pumping. I like writing songs that tell a story and take the listener on a journey.
