Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 16 my dad took me to hear Dexter Gordan and Johnny Griffin in Milwaukee. It was the moment that I knew that I wanted to be a jazz saxophonist.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Glenn Gould, Glenn Gould plays Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier Books I & II, BWV 846-893 John Coltrane, A Love Supreme Wayne Shorter, Speak No Evil (Rudy Van Gelder Edition) (Remastered) Love Supreme-Iconic! To me the album represents a selfless spiritual quest. Speak No Evil-all the tunes and solos are killing. Wayne's perspecitve was like no other musician's. Glenn Gould-Saturday morning playlist for decades of pancake breakfasts.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Deep Trust [feat. Jon Cowherd, Ike Sturm & Rogerio Boccato] (Live)” You have to be patient with this one-it takes a long time to unfold, but I hope the istener will find it worthwhile. Jon, Ike, and Rogerio-they crush it!
