About Faouzia
Pop singer Faouzia pairs her throaty, resonant voice with anthemic hooks and rhythmic contemporary production.
• Faouzia writes songs in English and in French, depending on her mood and inspiration. She’s also fluent in Arabic.
• She was 15 when her song “Mes Cicatrices” won the grand prize in a 2015 competition held by Le 100 Nons, a francophone music advocacy group in Manitoba, Canada, where Faouzia has lived since moving there from Morocco when she was one year old.
• Faouzia also won a competition for unsigned artists in Nashville in 2016 and—with fellow Manitoban Matt Epp—the International Songwriting Competition in 2017.
• Though she began releasing singles in 2015, Faouzia’s international breakthrough came in 2018 when she sang on David Guetta’s song “Battle.” She has also contributed to songs by French rapper Ninho and the Swedish electronic duo Galantis.
• Faouzia released her debut EP, Stripped, in August 2020.
