In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in first grade, I saw the high jazz ensemble play Glenn Miller tunes for my class. I was hooked on music from then on. When I was in high school, I joked with my friends that I would grow up to be a jazz musician, and I did it!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bill Holman, In a Jazz Orbit David Larsen, The Mulligan Chronicles Gerry Mulligan, Stan Getz, Getz Meets Mulligan In Hi-Fi Gerry Mulligan and Bill Holman are idols of mine. I love their sound, style, and compositions. The Mulligan Chronicles was a dream come true when I recorded with the musicians who worked with these artists.
