About Dawin
Singer, songwriter, and producer Dawin fuses pop, R&B, and EDM to create hits like his 2015 platinum single “Dessert.”
• The Brooklyn native grew up playing guitar and piano. He began taking music seriously at 16.
• He gained widespread attention in 2014 when he posted a video of his debut single, “Just Girly Things,” set to a clip of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro doing his famous “Carlton dance.” The viral video landed him a deal with Republic Records.
• In 2015, Dawin’s single “Dessert”—from his eponymous debut EP—peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. It was platinum the following year.
• Dawin released his Sunday EP in 2016, followed by his debut album, Errors, the next year.
• In 2019, Dawin released his sophomore album, Memory Card.
