Canadian rapper Dax has independently built a large following thanks to his intense lyrical delivery and high-concept videos.
• Before focusing on music, Dax had a promising college basketball career. He led his conference in scoring his senior year and had aspirations of going pro.
• On his 2020 single “Dear God,” Dax raps through a conversation with God, sorting through what he calls his “complicated relationship” with faith and religion. In the song’s music video, Dax plays Jesus Christ bearing the cross.
• In addition to releasing original music, Dax has made popular remixes of songs by 2Pac, Eminem, and others.
• Dax released his second EP, I’ll Say It For You, in early 2020 and followed it up in June with the single “Faster,” a collaboration with fellow speed rapper Tech N9ne.
