Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember my Syrian mother in our kitchen listening to classical music - Brahms or Mahler - then switching to Stevie Wonder's "Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants" and later to Fairuz. I heard (and loved) it all, which I'm so grateful for.

“Not Where I Am”
This song is a contemplation on routine, money and that weird feeling of being physically present but mentally somewhere else. I used to live in a small studio apartment, stare out the window at people passing by and let my thoughts drift.
