Merchandise frontman Carson Cox teamed up with Italian punk/hardcore veteran Marco Rapisarda (L'Amico di Martucci, Smart Cops, La Piovra) to form Death Index, a brooding, industrial-tinged post-punk project. The group's songs range from brief thrash numbers with razor-sharp guitars and pounding drums to slower, more isolated dirges reminiscent of Suicide. Recorded in Italy, Germany, and Florida, the duo's self-titled debut album was released by Deathwish Inc. in February of 2016. ~ Paul Simpson
