About Decorations
Decorations is an indie pop project founded by songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Devon Geyer, who describes his music as "new wave without all the sadness." When he was 17, Geyer was awarded a scholarship to Boston's Berklee College of Music. While he worked with several bands in the Boston area after graduating from Berklee, none of them took off, and eventually he found himself back in California. With his career in neutral, Geyer began writing songs that reflected his current malaise. In time, he began posting his songs online under the name Decorations, and his music came to the attention of Frenchkiss Records. In September 2015, Frenchkiss released the debut EP from Decorations, Girls. The first full-length Decorations album, Have Fun, followed in June 2016. ~ Mark Deming
