About Desar
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I was three years old. My sister sat me in front of the piano and I played one key and cried in fear. It took me several years to love the piano and music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Depeche Mode, Music for the Masses (Bonus Track Version)
The Cure, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me (Deluxe Edition)
The Sisters of Mercy, Floodland
I find these albums I like all the tracks on them. They really pop out in my head and give me a story. I'm never bored of listening to them and I can sing all of them easily!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Babylon Train”
This song had taken seven months and four recording sessions. to produce. I admired all the musicians that played in this song. The lyrics were based on a real life event. It's a tale about disaster and how people always help one another.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
I produced a soundtrack for the film "Prometheus Triumphant" and went to the LA premiere.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I want to create a major benefit concert to support an important cause. I want to record in a castle at midnight. I want to record straight to vinyl in one take.
