A punchy rock combo from Perth, DICE formed at the start of the 2020s, riding the wave of sunny, surfy indie rock that originated in the previous decade with fellow Australians like Spacey Jane and the Rions. Songs like "Double Espresso" and "Stop Sign" put them on the map, setting up a breakout year in 2023 with the charting single "Stockholm" from their second EP, Time Will Tell. DICE signed with Universal affiliate VMG and made their label debut with the 2024 full-length Midnight Zoo which made the ARIA Top 40. Their follow-up album, I Thought the Altitude Would Make It Worth the View, arrived two years later, reaching number 13.
