About Die Zipfelbuben
Berlin-based party band Die Zipfelbuben mix schlager, dance music, and volksmusik in a style reminiscent of DJ Ötzi. Founded in 2005 and featuring Timo Schulz, Dirk Ostermann, and Florian Flesch, the group debuted in 2006 with the Top 50 hit single "Kedeng, Kedeng!" After issuing follow-up single "Der Teufel und der Junge Mann" in 2006, Die Zipfelbuben made their album debut the following year with Volkspop, which spawned yet another hit single, "Unser Lied." Second album Party Party Party, released by Sony in 2009, was a Top Ten hit in Germany and a Top 20 hit in Austria. The album's lead single, "Hier im Dschungel" (theme to the TV show Ich Bin ein Star - Holt Mich Hier Raus!) hit number six on the German chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier
