Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first memory of music is my mother bought me a Mickey Mouse drum set. That set was where I began to learn that I had an aptitude for catching complicated rhythms. I also tore thru those papers heads in one week.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? George Benson, Breezin' Grover Washington, Jr., Winelight Norman Brown, After the Storm This album in my estimation the quintessential guitar vocalist album of all time. George Benson is so masterful at making his song timeless. Norman Brown was just hip and new. As for Grover, this was the epicenter of smooth jazz.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Comfort & Joy (Extended Edit)” Making this song uncovered so many hidden truths about me as a musician. I learned that I could be stretched as a writer and producer to create music without words that would still captivate the listener.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Most memorable moment for me was playing for my mom in front of a live audience. She never thought I would become a jazz musician.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have so much further to go. But to share the stage with Dave Koz is a dream. Ive been a huge fan for a long time.
