A London-based producer who has collaborated with Massive Attack, Tricky, Björk, and Soul II Soul, Dobie began his career in 1989, working on NSO Force Organization tracks. Dobie was a natural for Soul II Soul, who recruited him to scratch and produce tracks for 1989's Club Classics, Vol. 1. Through Soul II Soul, Dobie met Howie B. and joined his project Nomad Soul. In 1995, he would launch his solo career with The Dobie EP on Howie B.'s Pussyfoot label. It was followed in 1998 by the album The Sound of One Hand Clapping. BBE reissued a remixed edition of the album in 2005. Big Dada issued his sophomore effort, We Will Not Harm You, in 2013. ~ David Jeffries
