About Don Airey
Genre
Rock
Don Airey is one of the great journeymen of hard rock, a keyboard player who has added punch and power to some of the biggest names in the business when he's not occupied with his solo career. His impressive resumé as a sideman includes recording and touring with Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Judas Priest, and Gary Moore, as well as a long run playing organ with Deep Purple. Airey made his solo debut with the 1988 concept album K2: Tales of Triumph and Tragedy, and experimented with sci-fi-informed sounds on 2008's A Light in the Sky and jazz piano on 2018's Going Home. But he never shook his devotion to classic hard rock on LPs like 2013's Keyed Up and 2025's Pushed to the Edge.
