About Dorell
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember getting my notebook in 6th grade, picking up my pen, and just writing what was on my mind at the moment. I would start out find beats from hits during that era, and writing funny remix's to them that could make a simple man crack a smile.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Ari Lennox, age/sex/location
J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive
Sunday Service Choir, Jesus Is Born
These albums describe my specific taste in music. Strong Hip Hop performance with imfatic flows, R&B that conveys love and vibes, and Gospel that gives me that love and desire in my faith. Listening to these albums will help you better understand me!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Seanjhené (feat. A'Kia LaJoneé & James Ford)”
While there are plenty of song on the album '4 Rell' that have so much replay value, this song, Seanjhene, stands out the most. This song combines the soulful vibes of A'Kia and I, while also showcasing my ability to flow. This song is TIMELESS!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
A moment that sticks out to me the most, is watching my song 'Summer Nights' become streamed so many times and all over the world! I meant a lot because I never intended, or fathomed I should say, that song taking off like it did! Truly unexpected.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
There's a handful of things I want to accomplish, from getting thousands of plays for new and existing music across the board, but also getting to the point where my music can be used in movies and tv shows of such as well!
