Producer, singer and songwriter dox has quietly reshaped the sound of Punjabi hip-hop while charting new territory with producer-led releases. Starting in 2019 with lo-fi hip-hop uploads, Chandigarh-born dox found his footing through collaborative projects such as “Gham Addhe”, with Ruhaan79, and the gritty Boy Cut tape with Dhanji in 2020. His work with Punjabi hit-maker Jaskaran on the explosive 2024 album DIVINE VIOLENCE announced dox as a force to be reckoned with—a producer capable of matching raw lyricism with equally visceral production.
In 2025, dox delivered his debut album ONE FROM THE CROWD, a rare full-length producer-as-artist statement in Punjabi hip-hop. Spanning seven tracks and featuring collaborators such as BAGI MUNDA, Darcy and Boyblanck, the album shifts seamlessly between hard-hitting rap and melodic experiments. Towering above it all is “Superstar”, featuring Jaskaran and Rita Kim: a cinematic, unapologetically forward-thinking piece that captures everything dox does best.
