About Draz
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My introduction to dance music has been through Porter Robinson's Worlds, through then I discovered a multitude of different sounds, and genres, and became heavily attached to latin music, and my own roots with global club music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cashmere Cat, 9 Flume, Hi This Is Flume (Mixtape) G Jones, The Ineffable Truth 9 by Cashmere Cat gathers poetry into particular rhythms and melodies, Hi This is Flume gather experimentality and breadth towards dance music, and The Ineffable Truth brings high density of compassion and grittiness towards electronic music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “BAILA (feat. pìccolo)” BAILA is a love letter for my development as a musician and artist. I shot a music video independently with the help of all of my friends, and told the story of killing the previous version of myself, and coming out to be something I'd like to be.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I heard one of my all time favorite duos, Good Times Ahead, played a simple edit of mine of Flume's The Difference, it really shook me to my core and blew my mind. It is still what gives me the confidence I have to keep making music today.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Being a part of this record label, THRIVE OR DIE, I would like to completely create this little thing we have into something enormous. A respectful label that highlights LGBTQIA+ voices, music makers, and artists alike.
