About Driver
A trio of Peter Glinderman (vocals, guitar), Dennis Coats (bass) and Stephen Roxford (drums), Driver formed in Canada in the mid-70s. Signed to A&M Records, they recorded their debut album, No Accidents, in 1977. Featuring well-executed, three-minute rock songs largely composed by Glinderman, with the resourceful deployment of pop hooks, it was a critical success within Canada and also provoked good reviews in the USA. Despite this sales were poor and the group’s contract was not renewed.
Members of Driver include, or have included, Ed Roth.
