Artist Biography
Dumb are a punk rock band from Canada who stubbornly refuse to live up to their name. Playing sharp, angular music that marries noisy guitars and fractured rhythms with strong, if challenging, melodies and lyrics that are full of dark wit and pointed observations, Dumb burst out of the Vancouver independent music community with a prolific run of releases, issuing three EPs and two albums between 2015 and 2016. After earning critical raves for the surf-inspired concept album Beach Church and the melodic but uncompromising Dumb EP 5$ or Free, the band was signed by the respected indie label Mint Records, which issued Seeing Green in 2018. They refined their scrappy, dynamic sound on 2019's Club Nites, and added brass accents on 2022's Pray 4 Tomorrow.
