Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was five, I spent a quiet sunny days alone with a piano. I didn't play — just held the sustain pedal, listened to the resonance and overtones. It felt like meditation. Those moments, I think, where when music quietly rooted itself in me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Björk, Vespertine Cocteau Twins, Heaven Or Las Vegas (Remastered) Ryuichi Sakamoto, async Each of these albums is deeply tied to a specific chapter of my life. They're more than just music to me — they’ve become an organic part of how I feel, listen and create. These records live in my bloodstream, in the most literal and emotional sense.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tokyo In March (Setagaya ver.)” This song holds my heart. It’s my love letter to the city — its rain, spring, ocean scent, and rushing lives. I feel deeply connected to Tokyo, and this song captures the invisible thread between us — where I vanish into its flow.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording my first album in 2015 felt like pure magic. People came to the studio and left changed. Unexpected musicians showed up, spontaneous collaborations happened — it all flowed. That record still means a lot to me, and I like to listen it.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I dream of playing a concert by the Pacific Ocean, on a remote Japanese island where I have a home and a piano. I’d place the piano by the shore and play for the ocean — my love, my inspiration. People may come, but the music will be for the sea.
