Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first memory is my Grandad playing Bob Dylan - Blowing in the Wind on keyboard with me on his knee singing. Despite seeing footage, I remember this from my perspective. Dylan is my Grandad’s hero and the first gig I attended with him back in 2009.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head The Doobie Brothers, Toulouse Street (Remastered) U2, The Joshua Tree Remastered 1. Joshua Tree - U2. Forever my No.1, I have felt connected to my dad through U2 2. A Rush of Blood to the Head-Coldplay. My older sister’s doing 3. The Doobie Brothers - Toulouse Street. A self-discovery on a solo drive home from Glastonbury. Magic
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lite Weight (feat. The Free Nationals United Fellowship Choir)” I love ‘Lite Weight’ by Anderson Paak. It's very different to any music I’d make, but he’s one of the best live acts I’ve seen because of the energy and happiness he has on stage, and I think you get this through the recording, too.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Although the Isle of White Festival was the height of my career so far, my first headline performance and more recently's support for The Zutons were more memorable. The balance of performing well & being present and taking in the gig seemed perfect.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’m yet to tick off any of my bucket list goals. The pinnacle is Glastonbury. I’d play any stage in 2025, but the real bucket list item is to play the 5 main stages. That’s the summit of music for me, where I’ll play one day and know I’m ‘making it’.
