Les Cris de Paris (the name means "The Street Cries of Paris") are among France's most innovative small ensembles. The group, comprising a choir and instrumental players, performs music from the Baroque to the contemporary era, with special emphasis on those two periods. Les Cris de Paris has collaborated with a wide variety of individuals and groups, both musical and extra-musical, resulting an in extraordinarily diverse repertory of performances and recordings. Les Cris de Paris was founded in 1999 by Geoffroy Jourdain, and since 2005, the group has been fully professional. In 2010, Les Cris de Paris signed with the Alpha label, releasing the album Encores. The year 2022 saw the release of the album Schütz: David & Salomon, and in 2025, Les Cris de Paris returned with Strana armonia d'amore, exploring the Italian madrigal of the late Renaissance era but also including contemporary material.
