Singer-songwriter Ronnie Dunn sold more than 30 million albums in the ’90s and 2000s as one-half of superstar country duo Brooks & Dunn, and he’s released four solo LPs since 2011. ∙ Starting in the ’80s, Dunn released the singles “It’s Written All Over Your Face” and “She Put the Sad in All His Songs”—both of which were minor radio hits. ∙ While still a member of Brooks & Dunn, he duetted with Lee Roy Parnell on a Country Top 20 cover of Hank Williams’ “Take These Chains From My Heart.” ∙ On the strength of his Top 10 power ballad “Bleed Red,” his 2011 self-titled solo LP topped the Country chart and reached No. 5 on the Pop chart. ∙ “Cost of Livin,’” his recession-inspired hit single, was nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards. ∙ In 2013, he duetted with Kelly Clarkson on “Baby It’s Cold Outside” for her Platinum-selling seasonal LP, Wrapped In Red. ∙ His self-described “passion project,” 2020’s Re-Dunn, features 24 of his favorite songs reimagined through his half-country, half-rock hybrid aesthetic.
