In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a kid in Chicago, I was mesmerized by Cuban percussionists and a freestyling rapper near Foster Beach. That raw energy and culture sparked my passion for poetry and music—I've been chasing that feeling in every verse and project ever since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Héctor Lavoe, De Ti Depende (Remastered 2024) Keith Green, Keith Green Collection The Roots, Things Fall Apart I picked Things Fall Apart—Black Thought shaped my voice early on. Keith Green for his fiery yet humble faith. And Lavoe’s El Periódico de Ayer—the title track is one of my all-time favorites. Each artist helped shape my sound, style and Spirit.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The freshest moments for me would be from rocking the best of Chicago venues to headlining a main stage at European festival with a past group Berto Ramon. Touring with Humble Beast Records would be another. And now its releasing songs my kids love.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to make a pure old school salsa/street poetry record. That's on the deck- a homage to a dying breed of musician scene. I also want to complete an anthology of musical crates by producing this eB83 releases with my guy & producer MRLONE.
