A paragon of regional mexicano music's burgeoning new wave -- delivering only slight modernizations to its appealing, timeless sound -- Eddy is one of the genre's freshest new faces. His first single, "Que Te Trate Bonito," set the template for his style; it's refreshing in its timelessness, with only minor modern production accommodations made alongside the delicate acoustic guitar, subtle rhythmic accompaniment and brass flourishes. 2025's "Que Pedo," a duet with corridos tumbados (trap corridos) crooner Gabito Ballesteros, became his biggest streaming single to date, reaching tens of millions of listens. Eddy released full-length debut Náufrago in 2026, featuring collaborations with Chuyin ("madre mía"), Ballesteros ("y si no soy yo") and Calle 24 ("pensando en ti"). He'd guest on Calle 24's album ETERNO only weeks later, as heard on the track "HumAnoS InHumAnoS."
