In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing my mum's grand piano at 4 or 5 years old, trying to play a song I'd heard in a film by ear. It's how I tend to go about most things even to this day, I love hearing something and just zoning out trying to learn it.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Hozier, Hozier (Deluxe Edition) McFly, Memory Lane (The Best of McFly) Tom Odell, Apple Music Home Session: Tom Odell Tom Odell was one of my earliest inspirations, his piano and lyrics always bring me to tears. Hozier's first album was life changing, the way he writes and the styles he incorporates are perfect. Mcfly was the 1st album on my iPod as a kid.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Uni Boys” I wrote this song at a time when it felt like every woman in my life was being messed around by guys, of various ages, all acting really immature, like Uni Boys who don't care. It was so much fun to shoot the cover as a play on the overall theme.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I played a gig with my full band, strings, vocals, drums, guitars, bass the works. It nearly brought me to tears taking my little bedroom, voice memo songs and making them sound so real and huge.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing the graham Norton show has always been a childhood fantasy growing up watching it. I'd love to play Siren's Call, a music festival in my home city. I've also always wanted to be part of writing a bond theme, even if it's just one line!
