About Epica
Innovative Dutch symphonic metal ensemble Epica masterfully combine elements of opera, orchestral, thrash, groove, folk, progressive, gothic, power, and death metal, as heard on acclaimed efforts like Consign to Oblivion (2005), The Divine Conspiracy (2007), and Design Your Universe (2009). Founded by After Forever guitarist and singer Mark Jansen, the group transitioned from regional popularity to international success with the arrival of 2012's Billboard-charting Requiem for the Indifferent. Epica have remained at the forefront of the symphonic metal scene into the next decade, releasing Omega in 2021 and starting a new album cycle in 2024 with the single "Arcana."
