In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I began playing saxophone at a young age and was inspired by the sounds of saxophonists like Cannonball Adderley, Kenny Garrett, and Paul Desmond.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Charlie Parker, Charlie Parker With Strings (Deluxe Edition) John Coltrane, One Down, One Up: Live At the Half Note Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life The first one got me in to music and particularly jazz and I still love listening to Stevie. Charlie Parker with strings is a record I can listen to all day, and as with Coltrane, you will always find something different in there.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? To be able to record music with my friends and release my debut album the Island alongside them in London was a great feeling.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Where to begin.. I am happy with where I am today and I’d always love to record, create and play more music. Over the years I have learned to appreciate the process and the journey.
