About EPPDX
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Back in high school I used to splice together "mixes" from CD to tape on an old boom box. 5 seconds from this song, 10 seconds from that one, play, record, stop, repeat. Those tapes are long gone, nearly 30 years later, I found GarageBand.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Digital Underground, Sex Packets Radiohead, OK Computer The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band For me, there might not be a more perfectly composed album than OK Computer. Digital Underground brought a fun-loving style of hip-hop drenched in 70s Funk that opened the door to the golden age. And Sgt. Peppers is simply the greatest album ever.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Thumbs Up” I love the use of piano and strings over a head bobbing hip-hop beat. But the marimba and bass really drive this one. This song just seems so happy and optimistic. Like driving around town, and getting thumbs up from everyone in the neighborhood.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? During covid, in a studio apartment, our family tested positive and needed to quarantine for 2 weeks. Looking for something to do with my 4 year old son, we opened up GarageBand and started playing around. We got hooked, and don't plan on stopping.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Of course we would love to have one (or more) of our songs take off, or for an artist to ask us to collaborate on a project. But, for us, making stuff we like listening to together, and learning about music is the main goal.
