About Eraldo Bernocchi
Eraldo Bernocchi is an Italian guitarist, producer, arranger, sound designer, and experimentalist. His eclectic and unpredictable output resulted in drum'n'bass (1997's Overload Lady, with Mick Harris), chaotic free jazz (1999's Charged, with Bill Laswell and Toshinori Kondo), experimental dub-techno (2007's Manual, with Thomas Fehlmann), warm ambience (Music for Fragments from the Inside with Harold Budd), and 2011's Winter Garden (with Budd and Robin Guthrie). Since 2008, Bernocchi and partner Giacomo Bruzzo have run the exceptional experimental label RareNoise Records. 2017's Invisible Strings was recorded in collaboration with Prakash Sontakke, and was followed by 2018's icy, Like a Fire That Consumes All Before It. In 2020, he and K.K. Null released Superradiance. Two years later Merzbow joined sessions for Patterns and Mechanisms. In 2025, Bernocchi issued Nocturnal Rainforest with Merzbow and guitarist Igor Cavalera, and with ILUITEQ released the ambient drone album Fade, Remain.
