∙ A native of Desoto, Texas, Banks won several poetry writing contests while still in elementary school and began writing raps at age 12.

∙ Former major league baseball player Carl Crawford signed her to his 1501 Certified Entertainment label in 2019 after hearing a snippet of “Buss It.”
∙ In 2021, after “Buss It” went viral on social media, the track hit No. 25 on iTunes’ US Songs chart, and Banks signed a deal with Warner Records.
