About Erland Cooper
Artist Biography
Perhaps best-known for his work with Erland & the Carnival and Magnetic North, Scottish multi-instrumentalist and producer Erland Cooper has crafted a back catalog of work that straddles the boundaries of psychedelic folk, field recordings, and contemporary electronic music to alternative rock via contemporary classical reworkings of traditional folk and film and television scores. In 2018 he released his solo debut, Solan Goose, the first installment of an ecology-themed trilogy inspired by his childhood home, which continued in 2019 with Sule Skerry and concluded in 2020 with Hether Blether.
