In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I vividly remember waiting by the radio each morning, hoping I'd get to hear the latest release by T. Rex, David Bowie or Roxy Music. One morning, Roxy's new release, Street Life, came on and I was so entranced I was late for school.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kraftwerk, Computer World (Remastered) Tangerine Dream, Phaedra Yes, Close to the Edge Each of these albums marked the pinnacle of their particular genres. They each pushed popular music to a higher level. I believe Close To The Edge is the best example of a perfect album.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Darker Patterns” I wrote this tune quite quickly and worked hard when recording it to get the atmosphere right. Emotionally, it switches several times between dark and light but ends with a feeling of resolution.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? By 2014, I had given up on music. But then I saw somebody was collecting recordings of 'Bedroom Musicians' of the 1980s and I submitted a track. It was accepted for the compilation album. Not significant in itself, but it marked my return to music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I believe many of my compositions have a cinematic feel. I would very much enjoy having some of my music appear on a soundtrack.
