Artist Biography
Before starting the hard rock group Faith No More, drummer Mike Bordin and guitarist Jim Martin played in a high school garage band with future Metallica bassist Cliff Burton.
∙ Future Hole frontwoman Courtney Love was one of the Faith No More’s early lead singers.
∙ “Epic,” their breakthrough hit, was ranked No. 30 on VH1’s 40 Greatest Metal Songs list.
∙ Jim Martin had a cameo in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, which also featured the band’s song “The Perfect Crime” in a key scene.
∙ MC Hammer sampled their 1987 UK hit “We Care a Lot” for his hit “Pray.”
