Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was young my dad had a couple of records with field recordings. I think they were supposed to be used to set sound to early super 8 films. I remember listening to these a lot, especially the harbor and ocean sounds.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Robert Henke, Floating Point (2015 Remaster)
Robert Rich, Trances + Drones
Various Artists, Ligeti: Atmosphères
Floating Point: The level of detail and depth is brilliant. Purely technical aesthetics that at the same time sound so organic.
Trances/Drones: Started me make ambient music.
Atmosphères: Dark ambient from the 1960’s, played on a symphonic orchestra.
