Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hearing the Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams are made of these" on my dad's radio station. I had never heard such a catchy rhythm paired with synth strings in that dancey-but-dark way. Annie Lennox's sultry voice and direct delivery put it over the top.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gossip, That's Not What I Heard Le Tigre, Le Tigre Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fever to Tell These albums are fronted by strong women with strong voices. Their work is about both their relationships as well as their relationship with the world and the patriarchy. Their minimal instrumentation and production speaks to the punk tradition.
