In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my nana singing lullabies to me at around 6 years old. My mom was a classical piano teacher and taught out of our home so I heard music 80% of the time. Music was a huge part of my childhood.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Ella and Louis Classics Miley Cyrus, Plastic Hearts Young the Giant, Young the Giant Young the Giant's debut album was my first introduction to rock music that spoke to me. “Cough Syrup” is one my favorite songs, I found it when I was about 14. It was a huge push for me to begin writing music and finding my voice.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sick of Yourself” This one will always hold a special place in my heart. It speaks to the physical, emotional & spiritual changes that I experienced when I harbored anger & resentment. It’s easy to see these in their own category, but I found that they operate as one.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I received a plaque from YouTube for reaching 100,000 subscribers.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To perform at the Egyptian Room in my hometown of Indianapolis, and tour the world.
