Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember writing a song called 'Outsider' in tears in my room, a refuge from bullying. But I also remember the joy of blasting P-Square in the family car and Black Eyed Peas with friends... so many pure musical moments, shared and solo alike.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? EXO, EX’ACT - The 3rd Album Sango, Xavier Omär, Hours Spent Loving You HSLY: One of my favorite "no skip" projects ever. The harmonies and layers are absolutely incredible. It's a journey. EX'ACT: The production and arrangements on this are beautiful. Again no skips! Kim Scott - Shine: I love jazz & the flute so much!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hello!” The moment I finally gave myself permission to make something a little more niche. A creative, authentic sound that I hope will become my trademark.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Novembars was my return after a hiatus. Posting semi-anonymously, I chose a Don Piper beat. I actually panicked and prayed I wouldn’t win, fearing the spotlight! But being praised by him for my unique creativity was an unforgettable validation.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To perform a live loop where the audience is physically involved in the layering of the track. Beyond that, a dream collaboration would be with Layfullstop... I’d love to see if I could convince her to come out of retirement for a feature!
