About Funkleberry
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I'll never forget getting to be on stage with my good friend's dad in elementary school as he was doing a demo on African drumming. I felt like the coolest kid in the world playing that djembe that was probably bigger than me!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Dr. Dre, 2001
Flying Lotus, Los Angeles
J Dilla, Donuts
The production on all of these albums is something that I strive for and they constantly serve as inspiration and guidance.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Durty Durty Durty”
This is one of the beats I've made that's closest to the lofi genre that I really enjoy. It's a chill piano sample on top of some hip hop drums with a nice little swing to them and a deep 808, this is a combo I often go back to.
