The Future Bible Heroes are one of several lo-fi projects headed by vocalist/keyboardist/songwriter Stephin Merritt (others include Magnetic Fields, Gothic Archies and the 6ths). Released in 1997, Memories of Love featured songwriting and production contributions from Chris Ewen and co-lead vocals by longtime Merritt collaborator Claudia Gonson, the latter of whom provided all of the vocals on 2002's Eternal Youth. In 2013, Merritt, Ewen, and Gonson released their third outing under the moniker, the Merge-issued Partygoing. That same year saw the release of Memories of Love, Eternal Youth, and Partygoing, a newly remastered collection that included all of the group's albums and EPs. ~ Steve Huey
